How it works

STEP 1

Open the vacuum storage bag and neatly place clean, dry items inside. Avoid packing beyond the fill line to ensure the airtight seal works effectively.

STEP 2

Close the bag with the double-zipper, running your fingers firmly along the track twice. This helps create a strong, secure, and airtight seal.

STEP 3

Remove the valve cap and attach a pump or vacuum cleaner hose. Extract all air until the space saver bag is fully compressed and flat.

STEP 4

Tightly close the valve cap to lock in the vacuum seal. Store your bags in a cool, dry place away from sharp objects and direct sunlight.

Pro Tips & Instructions for Using Vacuum Storage Bags

WHAT YOU CAN PACK

  • Clothing (seasonal, everyday, baby clothes)
  • Bedding & linens (comforters, blankets, sheets, pillows)
  • Towels & bathrobes
  • Soft toys and plushies
  • Travel packing (jackets, ski gear, bulky clothing)
  • Seasonal décor fabrics (tablecloths, pillow covers)

WHAT NOT TO PACK

  • Leather & suede (may dry or crack)
  • Fur (natural or faux)
  • Silk & delicate fabrics (risk of creasing)
  • Down feathers (loss of loft in long-term storage)
  • Food or perishable items
  • Damp or wet items (risk of mold)

Preparation

  1. Choose a soft, flat surface for packing.
  2. Ensure items are completely dry before sealing.
  3. Fold neatly — don’t overfill the bag.
  4. Place the zipper slider securely so it glides smoothly along both seal rails.

 Sealing & Releasing Air

  • To seal: Close the zip fully, then use a vacuum or hand pump on the valve.
  • To reinflate: Never force open the valve — simply remove the cap and open the zipper.
  • Avoid over-compressing delicate fabrics.

 Handling & Storage Tips

  • Handle pressurized bags with care — avoid rigid or sharp surfaces.
  • Be cautious of bag weight once compacted; they can be heavier than they look.
  • Do not lift or carry bags by the zipper area.
  • Store bags vertically for best results.
  • Avoid forcing vacuumed bags into tight spaces — this can damage seals.
  • If storing long-term, open bags every 6 months to air out contents.

Extra Tips

  • Label each bag (season, contents) for quick access later.
  • Use lavender sachets or dryer sheets to keep items fresh.
  • Rotate stored items seasonally to prevent prolonged compression.
  • Keep in a cool, dry place — avoid damp basements or overly hot attics.
